Religare
Dia Logos with the Machine
Artist Statement
As a former programmer turned artist, my relationship with the machine has shifted from one of construction to one of deconstruction. Where I once spoke to computers through code and logic, I now engage with their physical bodies—disassembling, unraveling, and reweaving their components into new forms.
Religare: Dia Logos with the Machine explores our deep entanglement with technology. Drawing from the Latin “religare”—to bind—and “dia logos”—a dialogue through—this exhibition is a tactile meditation on our evolving connection with machines. By repurposing wires, circuits, and plastics through the language of textile and assemblage, I seek a more intimate, embodied conversation with the technologies that shape our lives.
In an era where artificial intelligence increasingly resides in the immaterial cloud, I ask: what truths emerge when we unmake the machine? What can its physical remnants teach us about our own humanity?
